Pretecor, a company with history and vision
In the late 1980s, the Santander Coffee Growers Committee came up with the idea of creating a company to manufacture poles to support electrical networks. The coffee growers had a vision of the future that was motivated by their strong Corporate Social Responsibility, and they wanted to support the coffee growing areas of the department through the development of its electrical infrastructure.

Cities are increasing in area and population; with 56.2% of the current population living in urban areas, it is expected to increase to 68 % by 2050. This poses significant challenges that city governments must face regarding security, privacy, sustainability, mobility, and environmental issues.

After 2 years of planting the seeds of opportunity to reach El Salvador, Pretecor SAS carried out the first export from the department of Santander of 55 translucent smart poles with programmable lighting effects, and architectural fiberglass and prestressed concrete poles.
Strengthening ties with the mayor of Cuscatlán
Pretecor continues to strengthen commercial and institutional ties in El Salvador. We visited the mayor of Antiguo Cuscatlán, Milagro Navas who shared her plans for the renovation of the municipality and expressed an interest in our architectural fiberglass poles and translucent smart pole technology with programmable lighting effects.
